The Gourmet Geek Story:
In the winter of 2007 Umma the Sue Chef decided to take Chinese lessons on Wednesday nights. Leaving the cooking up to Jeff. Jeff of course couldn’t just cook, but had to Twitter his recipes live as he was cooking. Over about a five week period people started to tune in via Twitter to learn what Jeff was cooking that night for dinner. Someone made the bad idea to Twitter to Jeff:
“You should do this live on the web”
Little did they know that would be the beginning fo Gourmet Geeks.
Jeff teamed up with Andy in January after an extensive interview process on cookin’ and geekin’. Joined by their wives Umma the Sue Chef and Hetta the Happy Homemaker, Jeff and Andy try and cook together as much as possible. Although their real jobs as educators do seem to get in the way sometimes, the continue to find time to set up a camera and record a cooking show.
